朝重历来把技术改造作为企业发展之本，设备加工实现了大型化、精密化、现代化。目前朝重完全具备了加工制造大型水泥厂所需设备的能力。企业装备在国内同行业中拥有六个之最。
之一 设备数量最多。朝重拥有设备1500多台（套），其中精、大、稀设备200多台（套）。

之二 切割设备能力最优。从日本进口的3台大型数控火焰切割机和光电跟踪切割机，最大切割厚度为200mm，是理想的现代化切割设备。

之三 卷板设备的卷板厚度最强。从德国进口的大型卷板机，最大冷卷尺寸为120×4000mm，在国内建材行业既属最大、也属稀有。

之四 起吊设备能力最大。铆焊大厂房配备160吨吊车，能满足4000t/d水泥设备的起重能力，是建材行业之最。铁路专用线直通大型厂房内，年吞吐量6万吨，为生产特大型水泥机械打下了坚实的基础。

之五 钢板预处理效果最佳。朝重于一九九三年投资300多万元建成一条钢板预处理生产线，采用物理方法对钢板进行下料前的防腐处理，为提高产品质量起到了重要保证作用。
The best result in steel plate pre-treating:The company invested more than RMB 3 milion to build a steel plant pre-treating line in 1993.The physical method is used to preserve the steel plate before process,which ensures to improve the quailty of products.
之六 加工及检测设备最精密。从德国进口的精密达0.001mm万能工具显微镜。从日本进口X射线探伤机和从德国进口的超声波探伤仪，Ф650mm大型投影仪及100吨卧式拉伸试验机等精密检测设备。均为产品检测的高端，是企业为用户负责的关键环节和有力保障。

朝重坚持技术创新为前导，注重人才的培养和开发，有一个和谐的，充分发挥个人聪明才智的良好环境。目前拥有工程技术人员 116 人，其中高级职称 15人。朝重下设省级技术中心。制图设施现代，资料丰富，信息广泛，具有独立开发、设计、产品改造，创新和引进吸收的能力。技术中心注重与国内各设计科研院所进行广泛的产学研技术交流与协作，以市场为研究导向，以用户需求为攻关课题，不断进行产品的创新和改造，使朝重产品的科技含量不断提升。近年来，开发设计和改造产品210多项，有12项获国家专利。新产品的产值占总产值三分之一以上。
